Health Post – 10 Facts of Life

  1. If you don’t have a goal, you’re living life without direction. And if you don’t have a plan of action you will, get to the end of your life asking yourself ‘What was that all about?’ The most satisfying times of your life are when you are living within the moment, enjoying the journey towards a goal you have set.
  2. What other people think about you does not count. If you have created the mindset of living your life through other people’s expectations you aren’t living a very healthy life. Worrying about what other people think about you is a complete waste of time and energy.
  3. It is a fundamental fact that we must accept that we don’t have any control. Full acceptance is when you release the stress of worrying about the situations we cannot control and focus on the situations we can…and the only thing we can have control of is our reaction to life’s ups and downs.
  4. Failure is part of the road to success. Have no fear your failures as they are the providers of your best lessons in life. No one is successful in all that they do, in fact the people who have the most failures are the most successful people on this planet.
  5. Your best things in life are experiences. Whatever you think you possess is only temporary other than this present point in time. So focus on your most pleasurable moments…the positive experiences and your loving relationships. Material things don’t count if you desire happiness.
  6. Your actions are the things that define you, not your thinking. Let’s face the fact that we all do too much thinking, so don’t use thinking as a form of procrastination and do the doing.
  7. Embrace change as it is the only constant inevitability in life. So don’t attach yourself to your past or only live in the present as you will miss out on your future…just aim at living life now.
  8. Everyone you know, including yourself will eventually die. So appreciate the life and experiences with the people you love as they won’t be around forever.
  9. Worrying is the biggest waste of time and creative energy there is. If the problems you face in life can be fixed, fix them…otherwise even if you worry about something that cannot be fixed ten times or one hundreds times more, there is nothing worrying will do to fix it. Worrying is created by our minds so we must learn to create ways to stop worrying…as what is foremost in our thoughts will eventually come to pass.
  10. Suffering is not a natural state of being. Most if not all of our suffering is created by our minds. We create this suffering chasing temporary feelings…so excitement being a temporary feeling does not create lasting happiness. We only create happiness when we attain a peaceful state of mind. A peaceful state of mind though is not something we should ever strive for as it is always there in front of us, within the present moment in time.

These are not my thoughts or words as I have come to fully accept that I know nothing…
